April 1, 2006 - Site News: Saturday Mornings Are Back - 8:29 AM EST

Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Ghostbusting Ops

The third episode from our hit cartoon, The Real Ghostbusters has hit the ghostbustersinternational.com airwaves. This week The Real Ghostbusters visit Mrs. Roger's Neighborhood. Where the RGBs think they're helping a sweet, old lady rid her house of all kinds of ghosts. Being the nice guys they are, Ray takes Mrs. Rogers back to the firehouse (HQ) until this ordeal is over. Little did they know Mrs. Rogers is more then she appears to be!

April 8, 2006 - Site News: Saturday Mornings Are Here - 9:04 AM EDT

Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Ghostbusting Ops

Saturday mornings from 20 years ago can only be back for so long. Plus this is probably a reason why we need more of a marketing department. This coming Tuesday is my birthday and to celebrate in part Ghostbusters International® is airing two additional episodes along with this week's regularly schedule episode. If that wasn't enough, it just worked out that GBI is running The Real Ghosbusters half a season marathon all week long. Episodes 4, 5, and 6 will probably still be up in next week's update.

We also reorganized our RGB episodes, listing them in order to cause less confusion. We've also added more episode notes, comments, goofs, even references where applicable.

This weekend Slimer Comes Home. Where was he, under a Troll Bridge? Or hiding in the closet? Hopefully its not the one where The Boogieman Cometh.

If you're in town for the weekend, he's inviting ghostheads to party with Nightsquad.

April 15, 2006 - Site News: A lot Of News - 4:00 PM EDT

Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Ghostbusting Ops

Just a note that this Saturday's update has a lot of news postings. That's not uncommon when Ghostbusters International®'s Director Of Operations gets backed up with the work that eventually makes ghostbustersinterntional.com. Which sometimes has to take a back seat to personal matters. I spent two separate mornings (one on my birthday) at the hospital this week trying (and finally being successful) in taking care of a "dental situation." And a third, separate afternoon was spent at the hospital seeing my hematologists.

Otherwise some of today's news could have been posted during the week. If we're able to, their may be an update tomorrow. With more updates coming next week.

April 15, 2006 - Franchise News: Yes, They're Back. - 4:14 PM EDT

Our friends in Maryland are finally back in business. Having been on a long hiatus for personal reasons and there was this incident one time with some harbor water turning green. Thankfully The Maryland Ghostbusters led by CEO Dr. William Ketchum were cleared of all charges. Which infuriated certain government officials. Hope they calm down because Baltimore and other parts of Maryland will be seeing more of our MDGBs. No, not in court!* Throughout the city keeping residents and business owners safe from paranormal activity.

*Ghostbusters International® can't guarantee any of our franchises will end up in court...again.

Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Ghostbusting Ops

Up until now if you lived in Canada (mostly outside Toronto) and had a paranormal experience you've only had a few choices. Calling the only two GBI franchises in Canada, calling Ghostbusters International®, or hoping it would just all go away. It usually doesn't and this is now where CEO, Dr. Scott E. Moyle and Drs. Ashley J. Williams and Casey Hudecki come in. They're the ladies and gentleman of Ghostbusters Toronto.

Serving all of Ontario's supernatural elimination needs!

April 15, 2006 - Ghostbusters Mention: Wizard - Issue # 174 (April 2006) - 6:10 PM EDT

Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Ghostbusting Ops

Issue # 174 of Wizard magazine gave The Real Ghostbusters a nice mention when they called RGBs "the creme de la creme of '80s cartoons." Like us mostly, "they'll take what they can get," but also hopes Sony Home Pictures Entertainment will release season sets.

April 17, 2006 - Site News: Tech Article - Quantum Physics and Proton Pack Operations - 2:14 PM EDT

Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Ghostbusting Ops

Last year at the earliest Dr. Greg Justis wrote an article on quantum physics and how that relates to the operation of a proton pack. Its based on a much more complex article and lectures from Drs. Spengler and Stantz. We had planned to put up Dr. Justis' article much sooner...we just never got around to it. Until today. You can read his article edited by me here.*

More technical articles will be on the site as the week progresses.

Bryan Fear, CEO of West Coast Ghostbusters wrote this "how to"* article on building a PKE Meter. Its not a walkthrough tutorial with step-by-step directions. However, it can give a ghostbuster a good idea on what's needed to put a PKE Meter together. As long as you have the parts and know how.

Ghostbusters International® is working to provide a more through tutorial.

April 18, 2006 - Site News: From Spengs' Lab (Egon) - How To Make Slime - 4:04 PM EDT

Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Ghostbusting Ops

Another oldie, but goodie. At least where I come from. Years ago, Ghostbusters Intenational's® R&D along with our franchises came up with a way to make ectoplasm aka slime. I think we did this so we could study ectoplasmic properties without having to remove paranormal entities from the protection grid. In recent years improvements to containment technology have allowed for easier methods in our ongoing paranormal studies.

Why then do we still make slime? Dr. Spengler would probably disagree with this answer. We make it for fun. It can be an interesting, if not messy distraction. If you would like to make slime, check out our fun, er educational article called How To Make Slime.* Which was written by Dr. Norm "Paranorman" Gagnon.

April 22, 2006 - Site News: The Real Ghostbusters - Enter Sandman - 4:41 PM EDT

Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Ghostbusting Ops

Not sure if anyone was expecting another episode of The Real Ghostbusters to air this weekend. Considering the "triple threat" we provided on April 8th. And how last weekend their wasn't a "new" episode because of my "dental crisis." We were planning on putting up the "newest" episode this morning. However, in a way the Sandman got me and after waking up I realized I had very little to make for breakfast. I made my way out on a rainy, cold (that's not right) spring NYC/Metro Jersey day to go grocery shopping.

Its fitting that in today's episode, Sandman, Dream Me a Dream The Real Ghostbusters have to figure out how to deal with a Sandman. Whose bent on putting everyone to sleep, including the RGBs.

April 22, 2006 - Event Reminders: Ghostbusters II Screening & Convention - 5:19 PM EDT

Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Ghostbusting Ops

Why would you need a reminder? We forgot so we figured you might want a reminder too. Last night the River Oaks Theater in Houston, TX screened Ghostbusters II at midnight. If you're in the area, they're screening it again at midnight. If you were at last night's screening or tonights (if you're reading this after tonight) we'd love to hear about it.

Don't live in Texas or Houston's just too far? If you're closer to Monroeville, PA maybe you want to attend the Pittsburgh Comicon which ends tomorrow. Its also where Bo Holbrook, CEO of NightSquad and his staff* are hanging out.

We do know Robert* is suppose to be at the convention. If you're in the area, come meet and greet with Robert and of course Ernie Hudson. ;)

April 24, 2006 - Event Recap: La Jolla Village Cinemas Ghostbusters II Screening - 10:07 AM EDT

Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Ghostbusting Ops

On April 8th, (see news above) Bryan Fear, CEO of Westcoast GBs and his staff attended the La Jolla Village Cinemas screening of Ghostbusters II. Someone bought a big slide of Vigo from the gift shop. And we're not sure, we think Bryan was possessed. You know we charge the theater more when that kind of thing happens. April 26, 2006 - Event News: New Star Con After Party - 10:57 AM EDT

Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Ghostbusting Ops

Normally a convention/event doesn't get this much promotion. If Ernie Hudson* wasn't going to be there we might not mention after con activities. Ghostbusters International® was recently informed by our "field agent" Robert Knippels of an after party the evening of May 13th. The best part is 100 people can buy tickets to have dinner with and party with Mr. Hudson among other stars. The tickets cost 35 EUR. (Around $40 USD) Drinks are a separate cost.

From an email Robert received: "Tickets can be pre-ordered at the dinner buffet ticket form on the website, or at the convention itself at the NSC info booth. The of New Star Con organization recommends to pre-order tickets because of the huge interest in tickets and a limited amount of tickets available. Don't hesitate for too long because full = full."

April 29, 2006 - Site News: The Real Ghostbusters - 10:01 AM EDT

Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Ghostbusting Ops

After dealing with a Sandman the previous week, maybe The Real Ghostbusters could just handle some class IIIs. Unfortunately their is no continued rest for the weary as its Halloween. Are 7th Century relics from Ireland connected to the RGBs being up to their collective necks in ghosts? Can they put the pieces of the puzzle together in time before a 2,000 year old evil spirit makes Halloween last forever?

Find out in this weekend's episode, When Halloween Was Forever. Airing all week long on ghostbustersinternational.com!

Also, regarding previous episodes, we may be taking down earlier episodes to make room for more episodes of The Real Ghostbusters. As well as free up server space. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The episodes will return one day.

April 30, 2006 - Site News: The Real Ghostbusters - 4:57 PM EDT

Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Ghostbusting Ops

We're sure you weren't expecting this, neither were we. This weekend, on a Sunday no less GBI presents another episode of The Real Ghostbusters. Part of the reason another episode is up is because next weekend I'll be on vacation. Look for a news update about that later in the week.

After all of Ray's success, it prompted his hometown of Morrisville to ask him to be the grand marshal in the town's parade. Not everyone is happy to see him when he gets into town. A jealous guy Ray once knew makes him look bad by casting ghostly spells, causing Ray to feel like he shouldn't be in our business any more. Can The Real Ghostbusters get Ray to change his mind before a dangerous spell destroys Ray's hometown? Find out this weekend and all week long when Ray looks homeward.

Look Homeward, Ray thread.
