A Message From Our Chairman, Dr. Peter Venkman.
Ghostbusters International® is a close knit family of hard working, tax paying citizens who have come together for the common good, the investigation and elmination of troublesome supernatural phenomenon.
Its a tough job, but somebody has to be incredibly well paid to do it!
Dr. Venkman, phD
1. Put together your official Ghostbusters International® uniforms. Khaki is classic. Gray, navy blue, and black are also considered traditional. Other color variations are alright too for case file oriented franchises.
"I'm not sure how to put together a uniform. Where do I start?" We offer an excellent tutorial here.
1A. If you're on a budget saving to buy what you need for your uniform or you just don't trust the Slime Stain Defender™, you can use any artistic, creative means to build a Ghostbusters uniform for you or your staff.
2. Begin construction of standard equipment. ie: proton pack, trap.
2A. If you don't forsee a 1:1 proton pack, etc in your immediate future or you just always hated that part of the business, you can use any artistic, creative means to build your ghostbusting gear.
3. Once you and your ghostbusting staff have been assembled, take pictures of yourselves in your uniforms and gear.
3A. Does the thought of taking a group picture remind you of "picture day" back in elementary school? Us too. Perhaps it would be better to use any artistic, creative means to have pictures of you and your staff with your uniforms and gear.
4. Come up with a name for your Ghostbusters franchise. Here at Ghostbusters International® we suggest a specific location title instead of a general one. For example, instead of "Ghostbusters, New York" which encompasses the entire state. (leaving little to no room for future franchises in that state) we suggest you name it for the region of the state, city, providence, or other area you serve. "Tri Becca Ghostbusters" works well because it lets you know what area of their state they serve, and also leaves plenty of room for other franchises in the state.
5. Create a business website that showcases the stuff you did in the previous steps. You will not be recognized as an official Ghostbusters International® franchise unless you have a website. Great examples of this can be found on the franchise list.
6. Contact the Director Of Franchise Operations to get your location registered.

GBI Field Agency Requirements
1. Get equipment. There are many resources to make high-quality uniforms and elimination equipment, some of which can and will be found right here on ghostbustersinternational.com.*
1A. If you're on a budget saving to buy what you need for your uniform or you just don't trust the Slime Stain Defender™, you can use any artistic, creative means to put a Ghostbusters uniform on you or your staff.
1B. If you don't forsee a 1:1 proton pack, etc in your immediate future or you just always hated that part of the business, you can use any artistic, creative means to build your ghostbusting gear.
2. Build and maintain an internet bio page. This basic (at least) one page site should contain information about you and your equipment and pictures showing off you skills as a Ghostbuster, along with and advertisement for area 'busters to join up with. Basically a smaller version of the franchise sites.
This will allow you to easily expand to full franchise status if/when you find (con) your friends/ relatives to don the suit and bust with you.
2A. Does the thought of taking a group picture at some point remind you of "picture day" back in middle school? Us too. Perhaps it would be better to use any artistic, creative means to have pictures of you with your uniform(s) and gear.
3. Contact the Director Of Franchise Operations to get your location registered.
The above are a modified version of the main franchise joining requirements. It is our goal to not make it too easy to become a Field Agent, let's face it Ghostbusters International® survives because of it franchises. If it becomes too easy to be an agent then we lose the backbone of GBI, the hard working individuals who follow in our footsteps to create a self sufficient professional paranormal investigation and elimination business.
In other words, if you become a Field Agent we don't get paid and that makes Dr. Venkman and Louis Tully very unhappy and you don't want to upset and disturb poor Dr. Venkman, do you? And let's face it. Louis is under enough stress as it is, too.
