Site News: The Real Ghostbusters - About Episodes Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Franchise Operations at 4:32 PM EDT Earlier today I received an email with an attached cease and desist letter from Sony Pictures Television Inc. In the letter I was told I had to remove material that infringed on the copyrights, etc. Specifically episodes of The Real Ghostbusters. I'm uncertain about other material. For example I did ask about the RGB screen caps and I'm waiting to hear back from them. I've already complied with their instructions by removing season 1 (and a small part of season 2) of The Real Ghostbusters from the server. Along with deleting the RGB episode pages. I also took down the Extreme Ghostbusters episodes area. If other changes need to be made to the website and possibly the club, they have my cooperation. And as a club we'll take it from there. Ghostbusters is all grown up. Celebrate by at least watching either of the films. Site News: Removed Images, Changes Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Franchise Operations at 11:18 AM EDT This update was done over the weekend, I didn't have enough time to post it until this morning. If you've read the update from Friday (About The Real Ghostbusters episodes) you already know that changes had to be made to the site. I wasn't clear if we could still use screen caps from the epsiodes and keep up images (screen caps or grabs) taken from the films. I haven't heard back from Sony's legal department yet. Maybe I won't need to again. The deadline to respond to them isn't until tomorrow. I responded immediately on Friday, June 8, 2007. Over the actual weekend I took down the few images I know we've been using from the films. Saturday I updated the site's header. Under the fair use act, we may be able to use the original "no ghost" logo. I felt as a club, it would be more fitting to use the Earth logo. A new ECU footer graphic is in the works. The Media section is once again under construction. Since we had images that most likely violated the copyrights, etc. Sunday I went over The Real Ghostbusters subsite, removed/deleted all of the screen caps and changed some of the text in various areas. The Lab and the Ecto 1 sections are under construction. I think long term the changes will be good for me, the site, and us as a fan club. Tuesday, June 12, 2007

Event News: Recent NJ Screenings Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Franchise Operations at 12:18 PM EDT Friday night was one of the screenings of Ghostbusters and the franchise/ghosthead gathering at Succasunna Cinema 10 in Succasunna, NJ. I'll have a report/recap up about it as soon as I'm able to. It wasn't quite the franchise/ghosthead gathering I had originally hoped for. I also didn't know what to expect overall. Nonetheless I believe we had a great time. I wanted to thank those who were able to make it. Thank you ladies and gentleman. If we didn't get to meet up and you knew about the screening/gathering through either the club or the other Ghostbusters forums, let us know. If you still want to see Ghostbusters in our area, the last screening is today, at 1 PM.
