This is the first picture we took with Ernie Hudson. He was absolutely positively friggin' awesome about it too. So we first get to the comicon, and we're just standing around doing nothing really. My goofy ass says "Hey, there's a guy with a Ghostbusters shirt". This guy was walking directly at us. So Katie says "Oh my god, it's him!" Sure enough it's Ernie Hudson walking up to talk to us. We walk up to his table and talk to him for like an hour. Just bullcrapping about things. Later on he did this Q&A where he clued everyone in on some really heavy stuff about GB you'd never even guess.

Jen and I had seen this HUGE friggan GB2 poster on sale at the poster vendor behind Ernie for 25 bucks. We waited until Sunday to buy it. So we bring it up to Ernie and I'm all like "Mr. Hudson, Check out what we found!" And he is all like, "Where did you get this?"I'm all like "There's a poster vendor directly behind your booth selling these for 25 dollars." He thought I was friggen joking. So Ernie asks me to take him to the place. I do, and dig this, he buys 2 of the friggin posters and another GB poster! It was great, He was highly apreciative that I helped him find the posters and he was amazed it was behind him the whole time.

So I went to take this picture and Jen says "Take another one I blinked" so I take another picture and Ernie goes "No no wait, take another one, I blinked." It was so hilarious.

Because I was asked to, I shall put up a summary of Ernie Hudson's Q & A session:
The question and answer session with Ernie Hudson was both extremely hilarious, and very insightful. Ghostbusters didn’t come until the very end of the Q & A session, but up until that point, it was mostly questions concerning his career. He mentioned mostly about how hard it is to make it in Hollywood, and making a blockbuster movie does not guarantee work after said movie is done. He told us about his “harder times,” and told us about his experiences in being “type-cast” into the “token black guy roles,” then pauses to say “God, this all sounds grim, doesn’t it? I should be talkin’ about somethin’ happy!” …and then proceeded NOT to…
When he got to Ghostbusters, he gave us a whole new perspective of the movie. Some of the things he told us were:
1) He was originally turned down for a part in the movie about five times before they gave him a chance to audition….audition repeatedly for an entire year.
2) He was originally getting less than HALF of the pay for doing the movie.
3) Trying to think of a way to finish a scene, Ernie suggests that they all just say “Let’s go.” The producers thought that it was a terrible idea…but then Dan Aykroyd suggested the same thing later, and of course, THEN the producers think it’s a great idea.
4) His role was originally MUCH larger. He was originally Slimer’s first slime victim; He originally was the one to think of “Stay-Puft” when Gozer commands the GBs to “choose,” and he was supposed to be the highest qualified GB with special ops training. One night, in his hotel room, he heard something being shoved under his door. When he opened the door, no one was there…and inside the envelope was…a WHOLE new script. His part was slaughtered.
He tried to call both Ivan Reitman and Harold Ramis, but they didn’t answer. When they started shooting the next day, Ernie approached Ivan, and Ivan started cowering and running away from him…Ivan thought Ernie was going to hurt him! When he realized that Ernie didn’t mean to harm him, he was embarrassed, and refused to talk to Ernie directly for about 3 weeks.
Needless to say, the Q & A session really changes your perspective on Ghostbusters.
