Sick of all those faux Ghostbusters 3 logos that have an extra finger added to the second "no ghost" logo? Us too. And so are ghostheads bladex_2004 and Kingpin. Whose also a member of Ghostbustters International®. For Fun and "bragging rights" they're having a contest of sorts where the ghostheads are encourage to design a "no ghost" logo that doesn't use the standard 3 finger look. Ghostbusters International® member dr.raystanz (of course not to be confused with my boss, Dr. Ray Stantz) posted a link to a Hardees commercial that ran when Ghostbusters II was out. This commercial from the restaurant chain not only promoted Ghostbusters II, but the tie in as well with themed toys and other "freebies" when buying a happy meal. Actually I think you could have bought some of the items for around $1.80 USD, not counting tax. Ghostbusters International® first broke news about 80 different (ok, so it was more like 8) remakes of classic Ghostbusters games that were in the works on June 10, 2006. By July 3, 2006 most of the developers had moved onto to other projects. With the two best developers (in our opinons) teaming up to work on one remake of Ghostbusters. We had heard small updates since then. Perhaps the best update comes tonight. Thanks to the talents and hard work of Trevor (Smila) and Scottige the remake of Ghostbusters is complete and ready to play. To help save a little on Retro Remakes bandwith the Ghostbusters remake game is available on our site too. At least in development since early August, a member of Retro Remakes, Eck is working on a remake of Ghostbusters II. Rockford, a mod over at Retro Remakes posted this screen cap from the museum. Eck also posted images of the title screen and is aiming for an October 1st release date. On Monday, September 4, 2006, (commonly known as Labor Day in The United States Of America) Ghostbusters International® will be celebrating its 3rd anniversary. It was late summer 2003 when the first GBI message board went on-line. Followed by version 1.0 of this site (hosted on a much different server) which went live on Labor Day, 2003. I can still remember working a lot that weekend to make sure everything for version 1.0 was right. Even then I knew a new version of the web site would be in the making. On Monday we'll take a look back, showing where we've been and where Ghostbusters International® is going. While we're looking back, whether you're currently an employee, a former member, potential franchise/field agent, or a fan (and aren't we all?) we'd like to hear some of your memories since the club and site have been officially around. According to Mr. Ambrose there were more of our busters there this year then in past years. We know some of them are field agents, in a franchise, or were formerly in a franchise. One of the things Ghostbusters International® wanted to set up from the beginning was an on-line chat. A place where our members could discuss business and have fun. I suppose business can be fun, at least our kind of business. Before November 2005, we couldn't set up the chat feature and as time went on, we sorta forgot about it. As Ghostbusters International® moves into its 3rd year on-line, we're adding new features, especially when they make sense. I'm proud to announce our new chat room. Regristration is free and will be appreciated, especially when we have topic discussions. Back on July 3rd, Dr. Robert Knippels, CEO of The Dutch Ghostbusters Society submitted a copy of The Real Ghostbusters commercial that ran before season 1 aired in The Netherlands. Back in July we said we would get a better copy of the The Netherland's RGB commercial. Thanks to Dr. Knippels, we're finally able to offer it in all its hi-fi stereo glory. Jairus Whitley, CEO of the Southwest Georgia Ghostbusters contacted Ghostbusters International® this weekend informing us that there website was back on-line. It had been taken down during a server switch. Thankfully it has returned and we have added Southwest Georgia back to the franchise list. Dr. Vinicius Ayres, CEO of Paranormal Labs and his staff* will be attending AnimABC this coming weekend, September 23-24. They'll be there on Sunday, September 24th. AnimABC will be held at Externato Santo Antônio School in Sao Caetano do Sul - SP. Admission costs R$5.00 + 1Kg of non-perishable food except for sugar and salt. Children 7 and under are admitted free with purchase of adult ticket(s). Seniors 60 and older can also attend for free. If you were wondering why the convention/event would want 1Kg of food, Vinicius informed me that "all food received as part of the tickets will be directed to to support people and families in need." That's what we thought and all the more reason to attend AnimABC if you're in Brazil. September 20, 2006 - Event News: American Heart Association Heart Walk (North Jersey) - 6:14 PM EDT Posted By: Richard Roy, Director Of Ghostbusting Ops. This past June I announced my personal leave from my duties. The reason being was that my mom who has "heart disease" had to have another cardiac catheterization performed. Thankfully everything turned out alright. Since then she has faced related "heart problems." I usually do not speak about other's personal health unless its important. Since 1998 our family, loved ones, and other friends have supported my mom and the American Heart Association. It only made sense that at some point Ghostbusters International® would be involved with them, raising money to understand and fight all kinds of heart disease. We, our friends, family, etc will be walking in the Heart Walk, more specifically in the North Jersey (Essex County) Heart Walk which takes place in Roseland, NJ on October 22, 2006. If you're able to, come out and meet up with us. As long as there aren't any unforseen circumstances I at least should be there representing the heart walk and Ghostbusters International®. September was a busy month personally. I had some news updates planned which I had hoped to post in a certain way. Its not an excuse, I've always tried to lay out the news/site updates in a certain way, depending on the updates. The reality was because of the personal circumstances in my life which I try to keep away from Ghostbusters International®, certain updates were postponed. I didn't expect this update to be postponed for more then two weeks. Doom Patrol is based out of Philadelphia, PA. Its run by Dr. Cedric London, Dr. Salina Duran, Mr. Robert Statler, Dr. Andrew Williams, and Dr. Brian Roig. Welcome to our hard working, tax paying family ladies and gentleman.
